Update 10.4.08

Posted by knightvision on October 4, 2008

I’ve been working a lot lately, which is a good thing, and haven’t had much time to work on my RPG stuff. I’ve completed a city map for Ebonyr today. Tell me what you think.

Mapping on a monday

Posted by knightvision on September 22, 2008

Well I was watching MNF until the 3rd quarter blowout by the Chargers.
Anyhoo, I was messin around with Fractal Mapper and came across this great tool called drop shadow. I really like how this map turned out. I might have a keeper here.

Module update 9.18.08

Posted by knightvision on September 18, 2008

I started writing a back story to the next module, Mace of Souls.
1. A semi-underground temple has come under attack from within
2. The most precious relic, The Mace of Souls, has been taken.
3. PCs enter the picture by coming in the back door of the temple, hopefully defeating the monsters who now dwell there and finding the temple folk.
4. The temple folk thank them for the rescue and beg for their help in finding the Mace.

This adventure will have the following environments
1. Underground complex - dungeon/cavern crawl
2. Underground lake/water
3. Hollow sphere -world within a world
4. Airship
5. Forest
6. Desert/wilderness

Update 7.5.08

Posted by knightvision on July 5, 2008

I’ve been feverisly working on the campaign setting and website. I think I have the menu system setup in a way that give a clear and concise review of the entire setting. I’ve employed some Web 2.0 goodies that make the site more “dynamic”. Here’s a new map that I just completed for Kingdom of Borgravia. Enjoy!

Castlecliff update

Posted by knightvision on May 17, 2008

This morning I finished the main Castlecliff city map. I used Fractal Mapper 8 (FM8) and Paint Shop Pro to touch it up. Next I’ll start populating the city, that’ll be fun!

Castlecliff map part II

Posted by knightvision on April 12, 2008

I had some free time this morning to work on the capital of Myrcia. I like how it turned out. I added some section names to the city to distinguish the rich, poor and commercial areas of the city.

Gadgets for websites

Posted by knightvision on April 12, 2008

My new website provider offers Google Gadgets on my site. I haven’t used them before so I looked them over. I see to many sites now that use all these gadgets for content. The website owner just wants traffic, when they didnt produce any original material to begin with.

With that rant over I have a song I created for Ebonyr, my campaign setting. I wanted an integrated mp3 player on the site, not just a link to a large file. The Google gadget was easy to find, configure and install.

I used Vision Jinx’s mp3 player to the site and added my music. You can add music and podcasts at anytime. The player has different skins and outlines to match your website colors and style.

You can find many more gadgets at Google Gadget page.
