Well today I decided to bite the proverbial bullet and get this adventure module completed. You’ll find a copy of it on my website. I found this adventure to be a little more challenging then the previous ones for a couple of reasons. The monsters had to be a bigger challenge. There are some 4-6 HD creatures in the level 3 module. I think it will make things very challenging for the PC’s.
I hope you enjoy this labor of love.

I’ve been diligently working on this module. I was hoping to have it done by May 1st. As you can see I didn’t meet that self imposed deadline. I’ve decided that I need to develop a template so all my modules have the same look. This module will not be free and will be sold on Lulu.com. Another touch point for Knightvision Studios is twitter. You can follow me @knightvision
Thanks for reading this blog.

I’ve completed the basic, rough draft of levels 1-5 of the Forge underground complex. Each level has between 10-15 rooms. The final level has a whopping 24 rooms with a lot of surprises. Here’s another sneak peak of a couple of monsters.

My latest podcast, The Knightcast episode 3, was uploaded a couple days ago. In this Knightcast I talk about the most recent Ebonyr supplement that was completed, the Village of Brynmoor.
I’m also working on my next adventure module called Mace of Souls. This module will be for the Labyrinth Lord ruleset level 3 characters. I was going to use Microlite74, but it really is to simple for my tastes after review.
The podcast also has some Web2.0 information and a commentary I call, My Take. Enjoy

I’ve been using Fractal Mapper 8 more and more lately and have been really getting the hang of it. I have to find some symbols.
Anyhoo, the rough draft map of an ancient dwarven (Zhud) rites complex has been completed.
Backstory: This complex was designed to test new recuits or initates in ancient times to see if they had the ability to protect the “Mace of Souls”
There will be plenty of left over traps from ancient times and now several monsters have called the complex home sweet home and don’t like newcomers.

I completed the final map (well not the “final” map) for the village of Brynmoor yesterday. This give me a starting point o n where to describe the business, npc’s and get some plot hooks started.

I’ve been really struggling, as of late, on the format of my new module and modules there after. I’ve been creating different styles of maps and posting them on the Goblinoid Games forums for feedback. I also wanted to create some background material on BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guys). I’ve started with a flowchart created in Open Office Draw and then converted into a PNG file.
On the module structure, I really suck at describing rooms. I was thinking about putting that labor onto the LL during the game. I would have a map of the room with furniture and encounters and maybe a smell to give the LL more information.
Tell me what you think?

I started writing a back story to the next module, Mace of Souls.
1. A semi-underground temple has come under attack from within
2. The most precious relic, The Mace of Souls, has been taken.
3. PCs enter the picture by coming in the back door of the temple, hopefully defeating the monsters who now dwell there and finding the temple folk.
4. The temple folk thank them for the rescue and beg for their help in finding the Mace.
This adventure will have the following environments
1. Underground complex – dungeon/cavern crawl
2. Underground lake/water
3. Hollow sphere -world within a world
4. Airship
5. Forest
6. Desert/wilderness
Rough draft maps:
