For the past two days or so, I wanted to develop the capital city of Lucidor. I started drawing on inspiration from how Brindisi, Italy is laid out and used that city as a template. Lucidor is an analog for Italy/Portugal in our world. I wanted to give some of the district names some Italian flavor so to speak.
Below are two maps. One shows the city with its unique monuments or prominent buildings. The other map shows the district names, which I’ve started to flesh out.

Tonight I wanted to revamp my latest map of Draica. I thought the look of the most recent one didnt quite have the “close-up” feel I was looking for.

Draica (pronounced Dray-ka) is the capital of Lucidor in my campaign setting of Ebonyr. I started working on it this morning and its looking pretty nice. Draica was founded on a a marshy plain and to create stable ground to build upon the founding fathers developed a series of canals to drain the swamplands.
